Services
The B Consulting Group, Inc. works with treatment programs that need their documentation, policies, and quality systems to match what reviewers expect. Most clients come to us with a specific deadline. Some want help building a quality program before one arrives.
CARF and Joint Commission accreditation
A standard-by-standard gap analysis, a work plan your team can follow, and a mock survey before the real one. We also help with the conformance evidence and policy updates surveyors look for.
DHCS licensing and certification
Application materials, program descriptions, and policy and procedure manuals for new and expanding substance use disorder treatment programs, written to the requirements in Title 9 of the California Code of Regulations.
CCLD and STRTP compliance
Support for Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Programs operating under Community Care Licensing and DHCS Mental Health Program Approval, from policies and staff files to client records.
Clinical documentation and chart audits
We pull a sample of charts and review assessments, ASAM-based placement, treatment plans, progress notes, and medical necessity. You get findings organized so supervisors can act on them the same week.
Corrective action plans
When a citation, deficiency notice, or survey finding arrives, we help you write the plan of correction, address what caused the problem, and assemble the evidence the agency will request.
Quality assurance and utilization review
Audit calendars, review tools, and reporting that leadership will actually read. These systems are designed by someone who currently runs them.
Staff training
Documentation and medical necessity training for clinicians and supervisors, plus survey preparation for front-line and administrative staff.
How we work
An engagement usually starts with a phone call about a date: a survey window, a licensing application, or a plan of correction due in a few weeks. We review what you have, tell you plainly what would not pass, and work with your staff until it will.
The goal is to leave you with a program that can maintain its own compliance. That means training the people who write the notes and setting up audits your team can run after we are gone.
Programs we work with
- SUD treatment and withdrawal management (detox) programs
- Residential and outpatient mental health programs
- Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Programs (STRTPs)
- New programs applying for licensure or certification
- Programs responding to citations or survey findings
